Nicole’s Beef Barley Soup

2 cups	Venison or Beef if you must) stew meat, trimmed of fat and diced into ¼” cubes

½ cup		Pearl (or pot) barley

14 oz		Canned tomatoes with juice

2	Roma tomatoes diced into cubes

2/3 cup	Liquid concentrated beef bouillon

3	Parsnips

1	Apple sized potatoe

			<description>This is a recipe that I use with my Traeger BBQ/smoker. I downloaded it from the net and have stuck with it now for several batches as none other has ever proven better.

When the salmon fishing has been slow, I just purchase the Atlantic salmon from Cosco. The brine below will do about 6 whole fillets. If you want to smoke more, make more brine as you want the fish fully submerged.

4 - Grouse breasts .
<br />
1 box - of Stove top stuffing
<br />
Sharp knife
<br />
Butcher twine .

Gently fillet the grouse breast in half , with a table spoon leave your stuffing slightly more moist then useual and place on inside of grouse breast . Do this for the remaining 3 breasts .  And then you tie them using a slip knot to keep the breast closed . Bake in 375 ' oven for 40 to 60 minutes .Serve with Rice or Roasted potato's.]]></description>

Cleaning

First and the most important of all in any kitchen is Sanitary and Safe food Practices.

Clean all surfaces that have come in contact with raw fish with an antibacterial disinfectant.

Never use your tongs to handle raw fish and then cooked fish.....have a pair for each or wash in bleach water before handling cooked fish.

This is common sense but still many overlook these steps.
