Welcome aboard its great to have new members to the forum as well as the sport. There are a few of us here that have a great deal of experience and are willing to help you improve your fishing days by sharing tips and giving advice on what and where to catch the next fish.
Thats a great pic of your first keeper, its great to see you out enjoying the hardwater season, Myself and my lovely lady go out ice fishing as much as we can.
Great to have you Nadia.

Re: Who are you?
Hello y'all
My name is Diana (I am one of Naughty Nadia's good friends). And she happens to be one of my FAVOURITE people...and fishing partner! I used to live in Edmonton (from 2001 ...until just this past Monday). I now live in Calgary and I am SO very excited for the fly fishing here. Just need to find some new fishing partners in this neck of the woods. I am still VERY beginner...but I like to say I have a natural fishing ability. Haha.
I'm starting a club called "Outlander Adventures". It's not-for-profit...but moreso, just a place (like this) for people who have similar outdoor interests (ie. fishing!). For now, I imagine I'll be recruiting fishing/camping types. Right now I only have a MySpace page...but I'll be making a website sometime.
I've only been fishing since December 2007 BUT I can't even put into words the calming feeling and peacefulness I feel when I am out there. It may just be one of my true loves. Haha. I love fishing with friends...but I also love going out on my own.
Well, that's me! Nice to be here now!

Re: Who are you?
Hi....I found out about this forum from another BC site that BBJ posted on. This looks great! I am in southern BC (100 yds from the USA) and am rapidly learning the local waters the Kettle and Granby Rivers, as well as the local lakes.
Tight lines folks.

Re: Who are you?
Hello, names Chris, 25 years old. I live in Calgary. Work in an IS helpdesk, not new to fishing but have recently taken a higher intrest in the sport. Seasons just about over for me now, never gone hardwater fishing so maybe this is the year to give it a try!
Look forward to being involved with the community.

Hey Chris,
Welcome to the site, great to hear that you are getting more interest in the sport. Feel free to join the Calgary Fishing Clan on the Hard water forum as I'm sure there are a few fellow anglers there that could interest you more in this great winter activity!
